Pontin's was founded by Fred Pontin in 1946 when the first Pontin's Holiday Park was opened in Brean Sands. We have been offering outstanding value for money for over 60 years. Over these years you have seen Pontin's expand to owning over 30 parks to now offering five picturesque seaside resorts. But there is one thing that will never change at Pontin's our promise to offer memorable, fun filled family holidays for outstanding value for money. 

Pontin's offer UK family holidays at any of our friendly and welcoming resorts situated in the North West, North Wales, Suffolk , Sussex and our oldest running resort in Somerset in either half board or self catering accommodation. Included in your price is great entertainment from our famous Bluecoats and daytime and evening activities all the family will enjoy. 

History of Pontin's

Fred Pontin bought the first Pontin's site in 1946 for £23,000, back then Brean Sands Holiday Park was a small eight acre site and had previously been used as a US Army Base. After an immediate success with Brean Sands, Pontin set his sights on opening another resort on Bay near Weymouth. By 1947 Pontin's consisted of six holiday resorts with a combined capacity of 1,300 guests.

Since the late 1970's till recently Pontin's has been sold on serveral occasions, firstly being sold to Coral; a betting company for £56 million in 1978 and most recentlybeing sold to Ocean Parks for £46 million. In 2009 Pontin's saw the sad closure of thier long running Blackpool Park and now have five remaining holiday parks.
