Eoghan Quigg, when aged just 15, was blasted from a small town star to a national treasure when he came 3rd in ITV’s X Factor in 2008!

Eoghan’s talent was originally discovered when he was aged 8 years old and was asked to sing a solo in his school choir. His talent realised by the County Derry music teacher, Eoghan was pushed to use his talent, and moulded into the star that first auditioned in 2008.

His natural talent and passion for singing, he says have been passed down from his grandparents who used to write and perform Irish folk songs, too young to perform with them, Eoghan listened and learned.

His full potential was realised when he was 14 and made his way in to the finals of the Irish Schools Stars In Their Eyes contest, performing as James Blunt. He went on to perform as lead roles in productions of the massive musicals Oliver and Joseph, in his hometown of Dungiven where his name became quite well known.

After winning over the X Factor judges with a rendition of Eric Clapton’s Tears in Heaven, he gained an army of fans from across Britain who have continued supporting his success since the show ended in December 2008.

Life after X Factor has been good to Eoghan with tours supporting Boyzone, and a tour with the X Factor finalists around a number of arenas, Eoghan was said to have received some of the loudest cheers.

Eoghan intends to write some of his own songs once his solo career settles slightly. He is currently focused on his latest album and the new material set to be produced in the near future.

Eoghan will be performing a number of dates throughout 2010 at all of our Holiday Parks. The endearingly down-to-earth artist has said that his main aim now is to simply continue doing what he loves – making music.
