Kevin Clifton & Karen Hauer
Kevin Clifton and Karen Hauer are now firmly established as the newest professional dance couple on Strictly Come Dancing both professionally and personally. They were thrilled to be finalists with their respective partners in the 2014 series Strictly Come Dancing. It was Kevin’s second season and he was partnering Frankie from the Saturdays and Karen’s partner was TV host Mark Wright. 2014 was Karen’s third series, she partnered Nicky Byrne from Westlife in her first year and in 2013 partnered “Hairy Biker” Dave Myers. In 2013, Kevin made a spectacular debut reaching the final with Breakfast News presenter Susanna Reid. As one of the few British dancers on the TV show, thanks to Bruce Forsyth he is now known as “Kevin from Grimsby”. Kevin and Karen are starting 2015 appearing in the ‘Strictly Come Dancing Live’ tour and have a great year ahead of them with shows all over Britain in the corporate and holiday park arena. And of course as all true Strictly fans know, they are engaged and will be marrying in July. Kevin and Karen met whilst touring the world when partnered as principal dancers in the theatre show ‘Burn the Floor’, a show that has taken them to all over the world including Japan, the USA including Broadway, Australia, South Africa and of course London’s West End where in 2013, Kevin famously proposed to Karen on stage in front of the audience – you can catch it on their website. The have toured together on the 2014 Strictly Live tour and headlined in ‘Flash Mob’ at the Peacock Theatre.
Not only will you be able to see a stunning performance from two of Strictly Come Dancing’s favourite professional dancers, they will also be holding a workshop where you will be able to come along and be taught by Kevin & Karen, so make sure you have your dance shoes at the ready.
