Location: Travel required, Main Base: Pontins Head Office, Ainsdale House – Ainsdale – Southport
Work Pattern: Full Time – 40 hours Per Week, Shift pattern varies.

Details:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Pontins. We are looking for a highly competent professional with a passion for business growth and knowledge of the market, understanding the dynamics of the entertainment and events industry. The Events Entertainment Assistant is a key position within the team and will be based in our Southport head office and on the different parks. The successful candidate will need to be creative, professional, willing to travel and have great networking skills, multi-tasking abilities, and the drive to succeed!



Responsibilities:

General administration duties including but not limited to; filing, typing, photocopying, proof reading contracts.

Maintain and update all entertainments department working documents.

Assist the finance department; checking invoicing, artists riders and purchase orders.

Answering the telephone and dealing with any queries.

Source new themes, acts & events.

Overseeing the preparation period before an event to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Co ordinate artist liaison teams.

Liaise with high profile acts and agents.

Liaise with and build relationships with centre management, departments and entertainment agency’s.

Travel to our parks on a regular basis as necessary.

Any other duties as appropriate.



Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities and experience necessary for effective job performance:

Prior experience as an Administrative Assistant or Events Assistant is preferred.

Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

Friendly, confident & concise telephone manner.

Confident use of Microsoft Word and Excel, good typing skills.

Confident use of email.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workload and achieve deadlines.

Ability to multitask and respond quickly to changing priorities.

Must work well independently and with different types of people in a team environment.

Ability to communicate with people of all levels, cultures and nationalities.

Owns own vehicle, insured for business purposes. A mileage allowance will be paid in addition to salary.



Required:

Own a vehicle insured for business purposes.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Work days, nights, and weekends as required.

Work in a noisy, fast paced environment.

Travel to our different parks located across the country.

Move about facility and stand for long periods of time.

Must have regular and predictable attendance.

Venue Technician


Positions Available: Venue Technician
Location: Positions Across UK
Work Pattern: Full Time – 40 hours Per Week, Split-shift days – six on & one off per week.
Accommodation: This is a live-on position – based at one of our UK holiday parks. There are no charges for accommodation or utilities.

Details:

We are seeking multi-skilled individuals to maintain and operate both LIGHTING and SOUND equipment on our parks.



Responsibilities:

The Venue Technician works alongside the Entertainments Team on in-house productions and with visiting acts & special event organisers to fulfil their technical requirements.

The Venue Technician is also responsible for the care and maintenance of venue equipment and basic training in its use for the Entertainments Team.

Creative input is welcome and there are opportunities to gain further experience in many areas.

Any other duties as appropriate.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Pontins. The Marketing Executive role is a key position within the web and marketing team, based in our Southport head office. The successful candidate will be creative, professional, driven, diligent and analytical. The Pontins/48hr Party marketing team carries out activities as diverse as designing, managing and launching offline print media campaigns, regularly updating website / creating landing pages. As a result, we are looking for a candidate that is truly excited by the idea of working on a diverse and ever-changing set of projects, in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will also be highly creative, with a strong eye for brand and copywriting.



Responsibilities:

Creation of marketing material (both online and offline).

Building website landing pages in support of marketing campaigns.

Ensures company products and services are effectively promoted and branded.

Development of content for a range of communications channels.

Researching and creation of social media content across multiple platforms.

Assisting with the implementation of PR activities, working with external agencies

Any other duties as appropriate.



Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities and experience necessary for effective job performance:

Experience of working within a Marketing or Media department or relevant qualifications.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

Knowledge of website design / graphic design (with portfolio of work in support).

Must have strong people skills and the ability to work with people from various departments.

Creative problem-solving abilities.

Strong proof reading and attention to detail.

Flexibility and the ability to multi-task.

Strong copywriting skills.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workload and achieve deadlines.

Flexibility and ability to travel if needed.



Desirable skills, knowledge, abilities and experience:

Experience of WordPress CMS.

Social media marketing experience.

We are looking for a ‘Can do attitude’ to wow our customers to achieve great sales and targets whilst working in a busy, fast paced and fun environment.

Working as part of the Pontins Events Sales Team, with the objective of maximizing Event Sales Revenue across the group.

You will gain a full knowledge of the Pontins Parks, venue space, facilities and accommodation. Using this to confidently relay this knowledge to potential clients when enquiring about the Pontins Product & Pro-actively generate leads for new business via previous and new clients.

You will be required to respond to customer’s enquiries giving accurate pricing information in order to maximize sales within the sales centre.

You will need to deliver exceptional customer service whilst achieving targets and maintaining company policies. You will need to have a professional attitude when dealing with customers. Be clear and friendly on the telephone.

Work as part of a team with the ability to work unsupervised and under pressure whilst achieving targets & Develop customer loyalty. You will need to be flexible in your working hours and maintain the company standards set.



Objectives:

Form and maintain strong relationships with these new contacts in order to encourage repeat business.

Be able to build relationships and communicate with key employees at the 6 parks who will act as Pontins representatives for show arounds and operational meetings.

Be able to understand and compose templated contracts for different event types.

Negotiate the terms of an agreement / negotiating on price, costs and specifications with clients.

Exceed sales goals/targets.

Follow all standard procedures and policies ensuring deposits and contracts are signed, received and recorded timely and accurately.



Key Skills and Competencies:

Previous experience in the hotel/leisure industry, preferably event sales orientated.

Strong verbal and communication skills, good telephone manner.

High level of attention to detail – especially when working with contracts as it is vital these are accurately completed.

Professional personal presentation.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Be able to work well independently as well as in a small team.

Be able to manage, organise and prioritise your own work load in a pro-active manner.

This role will involve Cold calling potential customers to prospect for new business.
